Harbhajan Mann has been scaling the UK last month promoting his latest movie, Gaddar – The Traitor. The movie, a slick emotional-suspense thriller, is a film with special effects that have never been seen in Punjabi Cinema

When asked, by DesiXpress, whether her preferred singing to acting, he replied, “That’s a tough question. First, it was Punjabi cinema. You have a script and you then you find that character. Any film I sign, I want to be able to play that character as Harbhajan Mann. Whilst playing the character I don’t want to be seen as Harbhajan Mann – I want to be seen as the character of that movie. But if I choose one – it would have to be singing. Singing is my first love.

Collaborating with music maestros Tigerstyle, Harbhajan Mann’s Husn is one song from the soundtrack which stands out.

Talking to DesiXpress, the producers said, “There’s been a conversation with Harbajan to collaborate for sometime. The lyricist that we have been working with since last year put forward this track and after developing the concept he became interested in it.”

“Just looking from the trailer you can tell that it has been shot at a very high level and it really is something very unique. It’s a step forward for Punjabi cinema.”

Eh-Janam-Tumhare-Lekhe The detailed research conducted for the film renders it an authentic and genuine attempt to recreate the life and times of a penniless man who called himself  “a humble sweeper at the footsteps of God’s abode”. He ferried an invalid for many years on his shoulders and over a span of time the burden of every helpless human became a garland around his neck.  In his arduous journey, he was joined by millions of altruistic human beings who supported his noble cause without knowing the sheer magnitude of the herculean task of the man who undertook it.

Synopsis:

The film is a journey of one man, ‘Bhagat Puran Singh’, who was greatly inspired by the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and the Sikh Gurus.

The film shows the journey of selfless service towards humanity and how Bhagat Puran Singh accepted all his patients as his family members and fought for their shelter so that they could live with dignity and die with dignity. It shows the path travelled was indeed a difficult and exhausting one yet he never gave up. The journey was made possible by his infinite faith in his mission; the moral values he received from his mother; and the courage, vision and determination he received from Guru Granth Sahib. With compassion in his heart, he found the energy that could move mountains and create miracles.
